Abstract

Orita is a minimalist, foldable table inspired by Japanese origami, crafted from premium bamboo. Designed for space efficiency without compromising aesthetics, it caters to a broad demographic seeking functional yet elegant furniture.

Inspiration

The product and material choice was inspired by the front porch of a family relative’s house I visited. It was a Japanese themed backyard with imported juniper trees, waterfall rocks, and bamboo flooring. The product once finished will be able to fit into the theme of the area and mimic traditional Japanese style tables.
